So on Sunday I had an unexpected thing happen. I got a German Shepherd. She's so sweet. We have a lot of work to do with her, but progress is being made! I've always liked big dogs and she fits that part pretty well already. She's 11 months old now and she's trained to do certain things, which makes the transition a lot easier. So be prepared to see lots of pictures of her in the upcoming posts!
Things have been very out of routine lately. I also believe in "cheat" days every once in a while. So I made chocolate chip cookies. I only like chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven, or right out of the bowl in dough form. ;) So I figured these would be a good treat for yesterday.
Abundant Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons
vanilla extract
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons water
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups chocolate chips (I used milk chocolate and white chocolate)
Preheat oven to 350°
Mix together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar. Then add in the eggs and vanilla. Mix until incorporated. Add in the baking soda, water, and salt. Mix in flour. Then stir in chocolate chips.
Bake for 10 minutes. They might look a little undercooked when first taken out of the oven, but will finish baking after being taken out.
Mmmm. Things like this make everything worth it!
