Welcome back to the Happy Life series! How was your week? I had a pretty good week filled with lots of new adventures and great experiences. Since starting this series I've become so much more aware of the special moments and positivity in my life. I credit writing these posts each week for allowing that to happen! Throughout the week I think about writing these posts each Sunday and take mental notes for what I can write about and share with you guys. That makes me more aware of all of the good things that I unintentionally take for granted and allows me to appreciate them that much more! Being aware and in the present moment is so so important and beneficial to living a happy and healthy life.

Blueberry picking happened again this week! I got off of work early and went with my mom and grandma to pick more berries. It was such a hot and sunny day which to me is the perfect weather. So hanging out in the berry bushes was a great time for me!
I climbed a tree this week. I haven't done that since last summer. I had no real reason to do it. I just felt like doing it so I picked a tree in the yard and up I went. If you're able to do this I recommend it. It puts a new perspective on things! Especially if you're in your yard. You can see it from a view that you've probably never witnessed before and that's a great deal of fun!
I have heard nothing but good things about "The Power Of Now" so I ordered it off of Amazon. I started reading it this week and I can already tell that it is going to have a huge impact on me. Everything that I was reading I resonated with and even kept sending pictures of certain pages to Darrin whenever I thought that he could relate to them as well. Once I finish this book (which will hopefully be soon) I think it deserves it's own post. Be on the lookout for that!
Before work one morning I went with a friend to a secluded spot that overlooks part of the town and the river. We hung out there and talked for a while. It was nice to just hang out before work and do whatever we pleased! Sitting in that spot gave us a great start to the morning!
I have a thing for sunsets. Lately the sunsets have been so so amazing. I try to catch them every night or at least get a quick look at the sunset each night. This sunset was so beautiful, I sat on the back porch steps and watched the whole thing during the crisp evening. It was so nice and a relaxing way to end the day!
Darrin and I went on a new adventure last night. We've been to another old trussel in the area but not this one so I decided that we should check it out. It's not in the best shape by any means and isn't the safest thing to do but it was cool to experience! I love exploring new things especially things that are close to home that I've never done.
“Every day, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it. I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others; to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. I am going to have kind thoughts towards others, I am not going to get angry or think badly about others. I am going to benefit others as much as I can.” — Dalai Lama XIV
