I got to spend about 24 hours in NYC last weekend. It was (as usual) a pretty great period of time and it always leaves me wanting to go back again asap.
While there I made it a goal to eat as much good food as I possibly could in the span of time that I had. Always a challenge I'm willing to take on.
Let's get to it.
First stop: by Chloe, West Village location
Mmmm, by Chloe. Ever since Pure Food and Wine/One Lucky Duck closed a few years ago this has become my favorite vegan restaurant in Manhattan. I am 100% obsessed and my bank account is grateful that I live 5 hours away and can't frequent this place.
Dessert: Sweets by Chloe
All good meals are followed by desserts, this one coming right next door from Sweets by Chloe. Just a plain ol' vanilla cupcake with vanilla icing that was so good I stopped by the next day and picked up another to take home with me.
Dessert #2: Pressed Juicery, Union Square location
If you're even slightly into the healthy eating scene on Instagram then you know about the freezes from Pressed Juicery. This was the first time I got my hands on a cup of it and I'm totally into it. I got vanilla (do you see a theme here yet, whoops) and I definitely want to work my way through the other flavors too!
Breakfast: Juice Generation, Upper East Side
Breakfast on Saturday morning was the juicy jack smoothie from Juice Generation. I typically love everything from here but this smoothie wasn't my favorite actually. It wasn't bad, just not as flavorful as I expected.
Snack: Organic Avenue, NoHo location
I had a $5 credit on my Organic Avenue app and I stopped by after yoga and picked up this chocolate bar. White chocolate = obsessed.
Lunch: Terri, Chelsea location
I discovered Terri last year and I am so in love with their sandwiches. They are SO GOOD. I got the portobello sandwich and I think it's my favorite one on their menu that I've had so far.
Dessert: Blossom du Jour, Chelsea location
It was super hot in NYC this past weekend. No complaints here. Hot weather is my jam and so are vegan milkshakes. This one is from Blossom du Jour and it was my first time there! I loved the consistency and flavor/little bites of cookie dough in this shake. I could have drank about 3 more probably. Yum!
Dinner to-go: by Chloe
A low quality train ride picture of my dinner; salad. One of my favorite salads for two reasons; shiitake bacon and maple wheat croutons. Worth it, trust me.
That's it for this NYC trip! I'm looking forward to going back soon. If you have any vegan/plant based restaurant recommendations please send them my way! xx
