It's that time again for Fitness Friday! Time seems to go by so quickly. I can't believe that it's already May. Not that I'm complaining or anything though! I'm loving it. This past week I haven't been doing as much yoga as I would have like to fit into my schedule. I'm hoping to fix that on Sunday though and start fresh for next week. I've been switching it up between Insanity, P90X, and Les Mills Combat every morning though.
I got a chance to run twice this past week, which I'd also like to do more of. There's just not enough time in the day for me! But yesterday was a great run.
I didn't go very far but I did a challenging course with some pretty intense hills. It's so awesome that I'm able to do them. Last year at this time I never would have even dreamed of running the courses that I do. My passion and drive have just grown that much more.
I get a lot of people asking me how I fit working out into my day or how I find the motivation to do it. My answer is very simple. If you want something bad enough, you will make it happen. Oh, and when you feel like quitting, don't. Just keep going and think about how accomplished you feel after you finish what you set out to do. Also find something that you enjoy doing. I love running and I rarely dread doing it. But if you're not a runner and you're forcing yourself to run everyday then you'll most likely get out of the habit and fall back into your old ways. So don't be afraid to try new things! Swim, run, bike, kick box, dance. Do whatever you love doing and you will find your way towards a healthy and happy lifestyle!
Tonight I'm going to the Penguins vs. Islanders game and I'm really excited! I love going to playoff hockey games. They're so much fun. :) Then tomorrow I have to work until around 3 and after that I have to go see my sister before she goes to prom! Then on Sunday I'm going to a flea market most likely. First one of the year here! I have a pretty busy weekend ahead of me, and I'm excited to get it started! I hope you all have a great weekend as well! And let's go Pens! ;) Do you watch hockey? If so who do you want to win the Stanley cup?
