Gratitude Project - Week 15

Fifteen weeks straight of posting on Instagram about what I'm grateful for each day. That is so crazy and exciting to me! Each evening I look back upon my day and figure out what I want to share with the world. Somedays that's tough and other days the words and thoughts easily come to me. Overall, I love the challenge and am so glad that I've decided to take on this project.

Enough rambling though, let's get to it!

DAY 100

I've been looking and waiting to find this So Delicious snickerdoodle ice cream for OVER A YEAR. I had this last year and honestly I can't even remember where I got it but I haven't been able to find it since. And trust me, I've looked at the store basically every time I go grocery shopping. My friend, Caitlin, found it while shopping one day and picked it up for me! I finally got around to eating it tonight and it was just as amazing as I remember!

DAY 101

Waffles happened today! Today was great because I didn't leave the house. Days like this are rare and today was a perfect day for it because it was so cold out. I spent the day working on some stuff and time flew by. It's crazy how different time moves whenever you submerse yourself in passionate and positive experiences. It's a life changer... Seriously! And I love it. It all inspires me to try more and work harder. And then reward myself with a large stack of waffles just like this!

DAY 102

Today I ate sushi and went for a walk in the rain with Roxy. I also had some blood work done last week and received the results today so maybe I'm a step closer to feeling better?! (I hope) I'll share more about the doctors appointment, my tests, etc. in a while but not yet. I want to gather as much information and stuff before I share more. // Anyways, I enjoyed the rain and vibe of today overall. Rainy days are sometimes exactly what I need. Mainly whenever I know that the weather is supposed to be amazing the rest of the week... But still!

DAY 103

I've been trying to eat a wider variety of fruit in my everyday life. Pineapple and pears used to be two of my favorites but I've realized recently that they haven't been a big part of my life like they deserve. So I've changed that and I'm loving it. I find it to be so easy to just eat the same things over and over because I like them and it's an easy routine but variety is the spice of life. // This is one reason why I've come to love documenting my foods on here, the blog, and on YouTube because then I can look back and see if I'm missing anything or if I just want to see how far I've come. That's a big motivator for me and I love it because I know that in the future I can look back and see how much I've grown and changed from this point as well.

DAY 104

I came home tonight so excited to go for a ride since the sun was out all day long. So I get ready and dress warm because it started getting super cloudy and colder. I set out on my bike and froze the whole entire time. I couldn't feel my toes and it was kind of miserable honestly. But at the same time I loved it. I was just glad that it was semi warm enough for me to even get out there and do it. I came back from my ride and took the dogs for a walk. By the time I was done with that it was so sunny and warm again. Of course! I took it as a sign to practice yoga outside like I love doing so so so much. Warmer weather is like an invitation for me to do so many things that I love and enjoy. Today got me really excited for all of those things and I can't wait to do them again tomorrow.

DAY 105

Today I came home and biked, did yoga, worked out, and went for a walk with the dogs. By the end of all of that my legs were so dead and I'm sitting here ready to fall asleep asap because I had such an active day. This always happens in the Spring time because I'm much more active when it's warmer out than in the winter. But I love it. I love to build up the strength and stamina that I get from doing so many various things in the warmer months verses just sticking to mainly lifting and yoga in the winter. It's a test and a new experience every year that I love to submerse myself completely into.

DAY 106

Tonight I went for my usual dog walk and it hit me that winter is over. The nice and sunny days will outweigh the not so nice days for the upcoming months. The warmth of the sun will soak into my skin and nature is coming alive once again. I can bike, run, eat watermelon, walk, skate, swim, roast marshmallows over a fire, take cold showers, and just live how I love to live my life. Winter is tough and awful for me and for some reason it hit me today that it's over, I'm free and feeling alive again. Reenergized by the sunshine // Dinner was simple, lazy, and delicious! Romaine, edamame, sweet potatoes, and hummus. Find more over on snapchat: amandaasmithh
