I got a sourdough starter from my sister last week. I was so excited! Fresh organic sourdough baked goods that I don’t have to purchase many miles and a lot of minutes away from home, count me in!
Or so I thought.

Back in 2013 I was making waves. For real. It was truly the most transformational year of my life in all the best ways. With the flip of the calendar to what is now 2023, I secretly am hoping for another “best year ever.”
Less than a week ago I sat down and wrote out some fun goals for the New Year. This list consists of things like - go to NYC (it’s been 4 years!!!!), visit one of my favorite bakeries, read 30 books, and go snowboarding, among other things. These are things that I am striving for. Things that I would like to do either again or for the first time.
Every day I go for a walk with Lily. There are many great things about having a dog, but the fact that she requires regular walks and trips outside is one of my favorite things.
It’s a Saturday night in April. 2021. My computer breaks. It just dies. Goodbye. Decides not to work. Panic sets in because I NEED this computer. Especially tomorrow! I have to work tomorrow and I’m getting ready to go on a hiking trip on Monday. If my computer doesn’t work then it will mess up my entire week.
It was January 2021, a new year and one that I was so excited about. Putting 2020 behind us. The entire world needed what felt like a fresh start, the closing of not only a terribly challenging chapter, but the end of the whole terribly challenging book. Or so I hoped.
I started the new year off alone. I wanted it that way.
So, my health… it’s been better.
I came to revive this website and I got stuck in a rabbit hole of old posts, of course.
It was kind of sad to see a lot of them, actually.
So many years of me talking about healing. Seeing new practitioners. Starting new protocols. Doing new detox programs. Working on my mindset. Stepping away from veganism. Spending tons of money in desperation. Spending countless hours researching for answers.
And yet, here I am still doing the same thing.
It looks a lot differently now and I am proud of how far I’ve come. But the theme is still the same.
Could it be? Create N Plate back again?!
Yes, it’s true. Hello!
So if you’ve been around for a while, then you know that the past 4 ish years of Create N Plate have been very lacking. Heck, the site didn’t even exist for basically the past year and a half. I’ve been through a lot in these past four years. And of course, who hasn’t? I’ll share all about all of that as time goes on. But right now I’m here to say hi and I’m back. (And if you’ve emailed me and I haven’t replied, I apologize!! Any emails sent from this post on will be answered within 48 hours.)
We’ve all heard how eating a healthy, nutrient dense diet is expensive. Maybe you’ve given it a shot and came to that conclusion from your own experience. If you haven’t given it a shot yet and you’ve found yourself here, then you’ve come to the right place. While yes, you can most certainly rack up a pretty high grocery bill by filling your cart with nutrient dense goodies, you can also do it on your own budget, whatever it may be.
Let me show you how.
